Freedompop and Stephen Stokols on Providing Affordable Data Plans

FreedomPop is a Los Angeles-based firm that offers mobile phone and wireless internet services. It offers free mobile services like data bundles, voice, and texts. It also sells tablets and cell phones including broadband gadgets for various devices. Stephen Stokols, the chief executive officer, founded FreedomPop in collaboration with Steven Sesar, his business partner. FreedomPop has collaborated with Intel, Atomico, Mangrove Capital, Axiata, and Partech Ventures. During its operation, FreedomPop raised over $109 million in the finance department and $50 million in 2016. Currently, FreedomPop uses Sprint’s network available only in the United States. In 2015, FreedomPop announced its expansion strategies to the United Kingdom through Three’s network. The company launched a global SIM accompanied by free mobile date in over 25 countries.

In December 2011, FreedomPop collaborated with Lightsquared, but the partnership did not last. The collaboration failed because LightSquared failed to receive Federal Communications Commission, which approves the establishment of an independent network. In October 2012, FreedomPop started selling 4G hotspots and providing wireless internet and mobile phones through Clearwire’s 4G network in the United States. In December 2012, FreedomPop transformed 20% of its free subscriber platform to paid users. It collaborated with Sprint’s network to spread its coverage by including 4G and 3G Sprint services.

FreedomPop offers services for ‘light users’ but it has paid options including unlimited talk and text. In May, FreedomPop lowered the cost for Unlimited Everything plan from 4G LTE to 3G in a billing cycle. According to TIME news reports by Jared Newman, FreedomPop waived an active status fee for subscribers in July 2013. In 2015, FreedomPop received the Economist award for its Wi-Fi first innovation. The award acknowledged FreedomPop’s initiative to develop a free platform for calls and texts through Wi-Fi connections.

According to Engadget report, FreedomPop’s SIM-only package has a high signal potential and minimal quality issues; hence recommended for light users. As observed from the report, the service is lucrative to primary carriers. FreedomPop offers clients the chance to swap high mobile phone budgets with their affordable plans. The Los Angeles-based firm has attracted many mobile users since its launch in 2012 and continues to offer free data and mobile services to clients. Learn more from this FreedomPop review

WEN by Chaz: It Just Might Be Your Answer To A Bad Hair Day

Nobody likes a bad hair day, and when it happens it helps to have a shampoo, conditioner, or all-in-one product that can attack the mess and turn hair into something wonderfully smooth, soft, and shiny. Wen by Chaz is a line of hair care conditioners that can do just that, with different versions of their brand such as fig, sweet almond mint, and pomegranate. Bad hair days tend to go away for users who make regular use of it, and you can ask a friend who might use it, or you can take it from Emily, a girl who wrote about her experience with it at
Emily heard about the supposed magic that WEN could do for messy hair, as she herself states is something she deals with on a day to day. What she found out was that this product kept her hair together, made it softer, and shinier every time she used it. She gave it a test period of 7 days to see how things would vary each time she used it, and she found out that if she took the time each morning to shower and apply it, it had a great result. The downside is that it tends to wear off for those who might wash their hair at night and try to skip using it in the morning.

WEN by Chaz is a popular hair product brand that uses unique, organic ingredients in its conditioners and shampoos. The brand is named after Chaz Dean, a man who turned his love of capturing people in photography, to helping them improve their looks with beautiful hair. WEN by Chaz can be bought online from their store, but you may also be able to find the products at select retailers like Sephora and Guthy-Renker in the US.

Investors are Flocking to Gold After Brexit Vote

The value of the British Pound Sterling and the Euro are dropping sharply after the United Kingdom voted to drop the EU. Almost immediately, the value of gold and silver began to rise sharply as consumer confidence took a major blow as the UK exited the EU.

The sharp increase in value is likely due to investors flocking to “safe-haven” precious metals in the wake of the uncertainty caused by Great Britain’s exit from the European Union.

“Global currency markets are in an uproar”, according to investment newsgroup Kitco. “With the British Pound falling to a three-decade low, the Euro also continuing to drop in value, and global stock prices remaining as volatile as ever, gold, silver, and other precious metal commodities represent a safe alternative for the smart investor.”

Why are gold and silver prices rising so sharply in the wake of the Brexit vote?

Typically, gold and silver has historically been seen as a hedge against the volatility of an otherwise, unpredictable financial market. When the world is in turmoil–gold, silver, and other precious metals have been proven again and again to be a sound investment. It is a limited commodity that has a myriad of applications, from jewelry to electronics. Additionally, gold and other precious metals do not suffer from the same degree of volatility that other investments are prone to experience, and the rate at which they can fluctuate in value is far more predictable. Even when precious metals drop in value, within a few years, they will reclaim their prior value and often attain even higher prices.

According to Bloomberg, the surge in gold and other precious metals is the most dramatic since the apex of the 2008 global financial crisis. When the US housing market burst, gold became increasingly more attractive to investors that were looking to stabilize their shaky portfolios.

Additionally, the British Royal Mint also issued a written statement recently that stated it has experienced a significant spike in gold and other precious metal purchases in the wake of “Brexit”. At its peak, their online bullion trading system showed a 550 percent increase in traffic since exiting the European Union. Chris Howard, the director of the Royal Mint, has stated, “we can expect gold and silver prices to continue to rise in the wake of Brexit“.

While analysts are uncertain, at this stage, what impact the results of the European Referendum and the upcoming U.S. presidential elections will have on the precious metals market in the immediate future – it is safe to surmise that gold, silver, and platinum will continue to represent some of the safest investments for investors looking to minimize risk and protect themselves against out of control inflation and other financial meltdowns.

New Reputation Management Software For Independent Durable Goods Retailers

RWS stands for Retailer Web Services. They are a group based out of Scottsdale, Arizona who have ten years’ experience in e-commerce, web design, and a number of other software solutions of the high performance variety. A new innovation they recently announced brings top-tier technological input, user surveys, and expert engineering to the online reputation management field. RWS has developed a new software called WebFronts Review. Basically, this software allows online consolidation that saves time and increases response effectiveness.
There are six primary steps that RWS was able to isolate from a survey of 1,400 consumers. Those steps are: Monitoring, Alerting, Responding, Soliciting, Showcasing, and Sharing. With monitoring, the internet is monitored for instances where the company using the software is mentioned. When a positive or negative review is seen, then the company is alerted and prompted to respond. Automated forms make it so that a thank you can be sent out without the necessity of personalization. Sending these responses out with an attached link that leads supportive customers to a questionnaire can yield exceptional data. With negative customers, there is also the option to automate a response which invites elaboration and suggestion. These features of response options are the “solicitation” portion of RWS’ process when it comes to online reputation management.

The next step is the showcase. Through WebFronts Review, a positive bit of feedback or support given by a customer over the internet can be immediately added to the company website. This eliminates a lot of hassle.

Online management is an integral component of contemporary business operation. But it is time consuming. Furthermore, it must be invested in. Think of online reputation management as a utility bill; like energy, gas, waste, water, or rent. In the long run, positive management cumulatively builds on a company, making itself a positive investment eventually. Good reputation takes time anywhere, though; and even the innovation of the internet has yet to change that.
